The Sarathi Parivahan Portal, initiated by the Ministry of Road Transport, serves as a centralized online platform designed to streamline all services related to driving licenses for citizens throughout India.

 

Regardless of whether you reside in Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, or a smaller city such as Ranchi or Guwahati, Sarathi Parivahan transforms the process into a digital and user-friendly experience.

What is Sarathi Parivahan?

Sarathi Parivahan is a portal that is an Indian digital platform aimed at streamlining services like:

  1. Applying for a new driving license.
  2. Learner’s license registration.
  3. License renewal
  4. Duplicate license issuance
  5. DL test slot booking
  6. Updating address or personal details

After starting this portal, you don’t have to go to the RTO office daily.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Visit the official portal for Sarathi Parivahan.

Step 2: Choose Your Service, like:

  • Apply for a Learner’s License
  • Apply for a DL online.
  • Services on DL (renewal, duplicate)
  • DL Test Slot Booking.
  • DL Extract and International Driving Permit.

Step 3: Enter personal details: Name, Date of Birth, Mobile number, Aadhaar card – Upload scanned documents of: age proof, address proof, and passport-size photo. Choose the preferred local RTO office.

Step 4: Submit application fees via online methods such as UPI, debit card, or net banking. The fee amount varies based on type of license and the regulations of the state in India.

Step 5: After your documents have been verified, schedule your driving test or LL test appointment at the RTO. You will get a confirmation via registered SMS and email.

Step 6: Click on “Application Status” on the homepage and enter your application number and date of birth. Your Driving license status will appear.
